PYP Unit of Inquiry

Guideline: 20 minutes instructional time; 40 minute learning engagement; 30 minutes checking for understanding and feedback

1) Generate vocabulary for the unit of inquiry

2) Make a connection between the seasons and weather patterns

1) Guess which season is represented by the pictures

2) Describe seasons using adjectives

3) Draw a picture of yourself wearing appropriate clothing for every season

4) Weather-related word search (if there' s enough time)

Maths

1) Compare items on the pictures

2) Find 3 items, put them in order to compare their length, draw these items on a piece of paper from the shortest to the tallest

3) Share ideas with classmates

1. Take an A3 size paper and a pencil

2. You will need to draw a CITY only using the pencil and eraser for now

3. Your drawing must have at least these 10 things included (Sky and ground, people, your own house and your friend's houses, kindergarten, school, shop, forest, beach, birds and animals)

4. Put your drawing in a safe place. You will need to continue on Thursday

You need:

• some paper 
• a pencil and colouring pencil
• access to Toddle to view the slideshow

1. You will listen to a song

3. You will draw the picture for the words
