Can explain and prove what different ways have Europeans tried to manage conflict in Europe (1648-1945).

Activities:

Step 1. Create a word document, format it according to the MLA formatting requirements (title: Managing Conflict in Europe in times of Change), and  copy-paste the Timeline ;

Step 2. Research events are given in the Timeline using the TikiToki timeline and color-code all events:

- Color A: the event is an example of making Treaties;

- Color B: the event is an example of making Alliances; 

- Color C: the event is an example of making Treaties and Alliances. 

Step 3. Check, if you have a timeline that is color-coded to show different ways that conflict was managed in Europe. 

Step 4. Study your timeline and shortly but in full sentences answer to the questions:

- Name the ways of managing conflicts;

- Which of them have been used the most? 

- How much would you say that ways of managing conflict have stayed the same in Europe? 

- When were there times of change? 

- How differently was conflict managed in Europe in 1648 as opposed to 1945? 

- Suggest reasons for the differences!
