Name of Task: Three-Dimensional Shapes
Learning Target: Students will be able to make and draw cubes and other shapes from a variety of materials.
Step 1: Practice making a shape we did not make in class.
Step 2: Make a video on Flipgrid explaining how to make this shape.
Step 3: Visit one classmate's video, and try to make that shape, too. Leave a message showing the shape you made from watching their video.

Learning Target: Students will ignite their curiosities about our new unit by connecting to a story they read in class.
Step 1: Think of a story you know very well. This should be a story you have heard/read/watched many times.
Step 2: Tell this story on Flipgrid.
Step 3: Visit a classmate's video and listen. Leave a message about whether you have heard this story before or a similar story.

Learning Target: Students will make connections between legends from other students by noticing similarities and differences.
Step 1: Ask someone in your house to tell you a story they have heard many times (possibly from when they were a child).
Step 2: Record the story by drawing pictures (like a comic) of the different parts of the story. If you need more boxes, please add them.
